Bananas Foster
A gourmet restaurant quality dessert, so easy to make.
8 oz Sheila's Sweets Caramel Sauce
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon rum extract but you can use 3 1/2 tablespoons real rum, if you prefer.
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and crosswise
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts/pecans/cashews

(optional)
1 pint vanilla ice cream or vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream
Microwave caramel sauce for 44 seconds and empty jar into a large, deep skillet over medium heat, heating melty bubbly. Stir in extract, and cinnamon. When mixture begins to bubble again, place bananas and walnuts in pan. Cook until bananas are hot, 1 to 2 minutes just until the sauce bubbles not too much or bananas will be too mushy. Serve at once under and over vanilla ice cream. Serve over crepes, cake, banana cake, with ice cream or fresh whipped cream
